Here's a link to some singlespeeders from a little place called Colorado. I think they have mountains there and stuff........nothing as huge or majestic as they have over in England, but mountains....none the less........I think they have a bunch of peaks that are 14,000 feet plus. There's some good reading here......these cats are truely Kooky------------------> http://offcamber.typepad.com/

FWIW I have ridden my SS in real mountains, not the tiny changes in elevation they have in little England. Hell last year I did the SM100 on the SS so thats 14000ft of climbing in 100miles....
But enough shit-talk, it is all just about having fun, if little Jeff likes riding his kiddie bike with only one-gear in the flat-lands of Il then he is not jumping on the bandwagon, he is just enjoying the benefits of not having chainsuck, chainslap, chainskip or three broken chains in one ride.
Oh and any company that re invents rapid rise and forces dual control on people and has rear derailleurs that do not have enough B-tension so they always hit the chainstay and chains that need a special pin that always gets lost to re-join them can kiss Jeffs ass, I have heard he likes that anyway.

Hi Temper, Thanks! So Jeff gets a SS and he starts giving his passengers hand-jobs! Coincidence? I think not.

Hi Temper,
Thanks!
So Jeff gets a SS and he starts giving his passengers hand-jobs! Coincidence? I think not.
So…that wasn't energy gel you where licking off the dashboard was it? Where are the other pictures of me laying across the trail gasping for air about to puke up my breakfast? It doesn't happen very often, but that ride sucked! And it had nothing to do with the new ride. Taking a week off the bike then trying to hammer the first ten miles doesn't work. However, the new Rig performed flawlessly, I was quit surprised at how well the mechanical disc's worked and the 29 inch wheels are bad ass!
